HoverAir X1 "Think of it as a flying selfie camera and you will be
extremely happy as it smashes it's brief." HoverAir comes at things from the other end of the 'Drone' spectrum.
That is as a reliable, light weight, extremely easy to use camera setup
that uses drone technology and image (person) recognition. Though you can fly it manually using your phone or with a BYO optional
bluetooth controller it is selfie camera first not drone first
in it's approach. A tidy boxed package (with a lot of traditional Chinese writing
and an image of a white drone on the box) I ordered the black model
and that is what I got by the way it’s just generic packaging. Downloading the app (you don’t need to by the way,
in fact you don’t need any phone or controller)
and switching to English easily help me understand which
preset or custom flight path the X1 would take ie follow,
orbit or side track as some examples/. As and always in your pocket, backpack or for me trail bike
camera ready drone it is perfect. There is no obstacle avoidance on this one so it will do
it's level best to track you (currently not objects or pets etc
just people) but if you draw a straight line under that tree
there a good chance the X1 will probably hit 'that' branch. Still being so light weight and decently protected it bounces back
quite well. If your endeavour is getting into the drone industry,
taking high resolution vistas, first person video flying
or infrastructure scanning which is what I do day to day
this is not your DJI drone replacement
but a fun, ready within seconds, trusty extra cameraman to lift
your video memories is exactly what the Hover X1 does…
